Introducing Harry Edwards
Turtle Ranch Investigators Group dba TRI Group was founded upon the principles of integrity, honesty and confidentiality, by retired police sergeant Harry Edwards. With over 30 years of investigative experience his background provides one example of the type of individual whose professionalism and expertise are the foundation for providing the ultimate in Security, Protection and Investigation.
The unusual name selected for our agency came from Harry's home "The Turtle Ranch" that in turn derived it's name from Harry's Cherokee name ULiNaWi which translates to "Turtle".
Harry currently is a Licensed Private Investigator, Protection Specialist, Security Consultant, Public Records Researcher, Forensic Hypnotist and Computer Specialist. He is strongly involved in environmental issues and wildlife conservation.
Harry was a police officer and investigator for 17 years where he worked numerous undercover assignments. He received training by the Los Angeles Police Department as a forensic, investigative hypnotist functioning primarily as a sexual assault investigator. Promoted to Sergeant in 1980 after receiving supervisory training from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department he was responsible for supervision and training of investigators and field officers. In 1990 he received a disability retirement for injury occurring on duty.
Harry founded HypnoSearch Consultants a clinical practice providing motivational hypnosis for students, athletes and individuals with medical referral. Harry also provided forensic hypnosis for recall in civil cases and was qualified as court expert. He taught seven semesters of stress management, motivation and behavior modification at California State University Northridge and conducted seminars for the Associated Students Association.
He also is a published writer and has lectured and/or presented seminars on personal security, crime prevention, forensic hypnosis, sexual assault awareness, stress management, business management and report writing to various groups including Chambers of Commerce, Kiwanas, Red Cross, student groups (elementary, high school and college) and professional organizations.
Harry has conducted investigations including but not limited to surveillance, records research and the broad spectrum of civil and criminal investigations,. He is skilled with 35mm, digital and video cameras.
As a security consultant he has handled threat assessments, functioned as security officer, supervisor and manager of security services for a prestigious national firm. He provided personal security to numerous celebrities and foreign government officials, setup and managed numerous large events and conducted security assessments. He managed uniform security guards during the reconstruction of the Beverly Hills Hotel and coordinated and traveled for out of state security and transport of art collections.
